The Edward Said Award for Contemporary Arab Enlightenment and Criticism of Orientalist Thought

Award conditions:


  1. The participating work should be in the areas of contemporary Arab enlightenment thought, renaissance philosophies, and criticism of orientalist discourse under the theme (Opposing Zionist orientalist ideology)
  2. Posts in Arabic.
  3. Submissions for joint work is allowed.
  4. The participating work should not have won any award previously.
  5. The applicant is entitled to participate in only one work per session.
  6. Posts from (10 thousand words to 15 thousand words).
  7. Books and theses are not included.
  8. Age not specified.
  9. The winner is allowed to participate again in the award after at least three cycles.
  10. The participating works are not returned to their owners upon completion of the award, and the Foundation has the right to benefit from the winning works.
  11. Nominations for the award are accepted from relevant institutions and bodies, as well as individual nominations.
  12. - Entries are accepted via e-mail (pii@pii-diaspora.org), or by registered mail, and that they are wrapped in a suitable envelope and the name of the award is written on the outside, and sent to (Palestine International Foundation, PO Box 927906, Amman 11190 / Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan). A mail delivery voucher is sent to pii@pii-diaspora.org, or delivered by hand to the award secretariat at the headquarters of the Palestine International Development Association in Amman - Jordan - Office (607), Al-Husseini Complex, Building (33), Zahran Street.
