Palestine Cultural Awards is a collection of prizes in the field of culture, literature and studies. The aims of these awards are to preserve Palestine present in the human conscience, to raise awareness of the Palestinian cause, to highlight the artistic and literary status of creative Palestinians whom the awards carried their names, to encourage creativity and stimulate Arab creative, and to contribute to spreading a culture of steadfastness, resistance, liberation and return to Palestine.
The participants’ age should not be more than 40 years old except for Edward Said Award.
One winner will be selected for each Award or the Award will be shared equally among two winners. Each Award will be a total of US$5,000 (Five thousands US Dollar), in addition, certificate of appreciation will be granted for each winner.
The winners will be announced and the Awards will be granted at a special ceremony under the title “Cultural Day for Palestine” on July 1st , 2020. PII will host each winner for two days with a round trip ticket from his country, noting that PII will not cover the price of the ticket if the winner lives outside his/her country and therefore, he/she has to buy his/her ticket.

Naji Al Ali Award
The $5000 prize is awarded to an Artist, having a talent in caricature Sketching. The prize commemorates famous Palestinian artist and cartoonist Naji Al-Ali. It will be awarded on the July 1st , 2020.

Ghassan Kanafani Award for literature:
This year for: Ghassan Kanafani Award – Novel
The $5000 award is granted every year to a male or female Palestinian writer or critic in the homeland or abroad. A special committee well-versed in the fields of literature including short stories and critique selects the winner. The award ceremony is held on the July 1st , 2020.

Waleed Al Khatib Award
The $5000 prize is awarded to a Palestinian in the homeland or living in exile, having a talent in photography. The prize commemorates famous Palestinian photographer – Waleed AlKhatib. It is awarded on the July 1st , 2020.

Fadwa Tuqan Award for poetry:
This year for: Muin Bseiso Award
The $5000 prize is awarded to a female or male Palestinian poet in the homeland or living in exile, having a talent in poetry. The prize commemorates famous Palestinian poet Muin Bseiso. A special committee well-versed in the fields of poetry and critique selects the winner. The award ceremony is held on the July 1st , 2020.

Edward Said Award
The $5000 award is granted every year to a male or female writer whose subject is on the study of the criticism of Oreintalist discourse in the homeland or abroad whose age must be in the 20-35 years group. A special committee well-versed in the fields of literature including short stories and critique selects the winner. The award ceremony is held on the July 1st , 2020.
